International bank conference in Baku ends

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The International Bank Conference held on November 15-16 in Baku was ended. ASPA-Economics says the conference, lasted two days, was organized by The CIS Financial & Banking Council and the International Bank of Azerbaijan.


At the last day of the conference, modern financial products and technologies in CIS place, current situation and development perspectives of Islamic banking in the CIS, application of telecommunication innovations in bank sector, Private Banking and other issues were discussed.

Member of Board of Directors of NOMOS-Bank Alexander Royko, Director-General of FB Konsalt Igor Pechyonkin, KPMG's Global Head of Islamic Financial Services Neil Miller, Colvir Software Solutions Company Vice-President Nadejda Viknyanskaya, Head of Islamic Banking Department of International Bank of Azerbaijan Behnam Gurbanzadeh, Under Director General of CIS Financial & Banking Council Ahmed Gahramanov and Chief advisor of First East Invest on Middle East Fouad Shaker made speeches at the conference.

Note that sustainability of financial markets, Caspian littoral financial markets, activity of banks in Free Trade Zone in the CIS space, establishment of international financial centers in the CIS, regional development financial institutions, mutual investment opportunities, and etc issues were discussed at the conference.
