Western Azerbaijan Community's appeal published as official UN document

The appeal addressed to the international community on behalf of the participants of the "Refugees and Women" conference, organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC), has been published as an official document of the UN General Assembly and Security Council, the Community told APA.

It was noted that the publishing of the document as an official document of the UN’s top bodies plays a key role in raising global awareness about the Western Azerbaijan issue.

Recall that on March 1 of this year, the Women's Council of the Western Azerbaijan Community organized an online international conference titled "Refugees and Women" ahead of International Women’s Day (March 8). The event aimed to draw global attention to the rights violations faced by Western Azerbaijani women, who have been subjected to ethnic cleansing and remain unable to return to their homes.
