“We –as the Western Azerbaijan Community, representing Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia, strongly condemn the anti-Azerbaijani statement made by the European Union (EU) on October 18, 2023, at the meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe,” the Western Azerbaijan Community said in its statement, APA reports.
“Regarding the content of the statement, note that the document is biased, is discriminatory, hinders peace, and justifies the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Armenia.
We urge the EU to drop its anti-Azerbaijani approach, to respect the equality of people in terms of rights and dignity, as well as the principles of sovereign equality of states, and to respect the right of return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia,” reads the statement.
