Western Azerbaijan Community: Armenia should put an end to actions that deliberately aggravate situation in the region

"In connection with Armenia's intention to convene an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council under the pretext of a "humanitarian crisis" show and an attempt to adopt a resolution against Azerbaijan, we state that Armenia, which has been ignoring the well-known resolutions of the Security Council for 30 years and even showing intolerance to references to them, now hoping for a Security Council resolution, is a prime example of hypocrisy," Western Azerbaijan Community told APA.

It was noted that the work that Armenia must do in the field of international humanitarian law and human rights is to ensure the safe and dignified return of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis expelled from its territory:

"The Western Azerbaijan Community regards this action of Armenia as a threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, gross interference in internal affairs, and a departure from the provision on mutual recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity contained in the Prague and Sochi statements in October 2022 and the Brussels statement in July 2023, and calls on Armenia to stop actions that deliberately aggravate the situation in the region".
