National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has announced the actual weather conditions as of 09:00 on September 6, the Department told APA.
In accordance with the orange warning, the north-west wind has intermittently reached speeds of 23 m/s in Goranboy, 22 m/s in Naftalan, and according to the yellow warning, 21 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 21 m/s in Culfa, 20 m/s in Neftchala, 19 m/s in Shirvan, and up to 16 m/s in Tartar, Barda, and Shamakhi. According to data from the Oil Rocks station, the wave height has reached 3.6 meters.
The maximum temperatures recorded are 29°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 36°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Aran regions, and up to 23°C in the mountainous regions.
