Intensive snow forecasted tomorrow, freezing roads in Azerbaijan -WARNING

The forecasted weather conditions in Azerbaijan for February 27 have been announced, the National Hydrometeorological Service told APA.

Weather conditions in Baku and Absheron

It has been reported that occasional snowfall is expected in some places in Baku and the Absheron peninsula. Snow is likely to intensify for a short time in some parts of the peninsula at night. It will gradually cease in the second half of the day. The northwest wind will be replaced by a moderate southwest wind during the day.

Temperature and humidity indicators

The air temperature will be 1-3° frost at night and during the day. The atmospheric pressure will be 768 mm of mercury column, which is above normal. Relative humidity will be 70-80% at night, and 60-65% during the day.

Possibility of roads being frozen

There is a possibility of some roads freezing at night and in the morning.

Expected weather conditions in the districts

In some places in the districts of Azerbaijan, it is expected to be intermittently rainy and snowy. The rain is likely to be intense in some places. It will gradually cease during the day. There will be occasional fog in some places. Mild westerly wind will occasionally strengthen in some places.

Temperature differences in mountainous areas

The air temperature will be 0-5° frost at night, 3-8° heat during the day, 10-15° at night in the mountains, 15-20° frost in high mountainous areas, 0-5° frost during the day.

Roads will freeze in some places at night and in the morning.
