On November 7-8, activity will remain high due to flares in the southern hemisphere of the Sun, the Department of Astrophysics at the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University told APA.
Solar activity has increased due to M-class flares, which may block radio communication signals by 70–80% on November 8 and by 30–35% on November 9.
At high geographic latitudes, on November 7, the strength of the magnetic storm will reach 6–7 on a 10-point scale according to the Kp index, and in the following days, it will decrease and return to the normal background level.
In the mid-latitudes, including Azerbaijan, on November 7, the strength of the storm will be 6 according to the Kp index, and in the following days, it will decrease and return to the background level.
