This year, the frosty weather that began on February 20 will last for several days, Nazim Mahmudov, head of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan said, APA reports.
He noted that the record-breaking frost was recorded in February 2012: "The lowest temperature in February over the past 40 years was recorded in 2012, and the frosty weather that began on February 1 lasted for 13 days. The minimum air temperature in Baku on February 8 was minus 11 degrees, thus breaking the record of February 9-10, 1969 (9.6 degrees of frost). This year, the frosty weather that began on February 20 will last for several days."
