“It is amazing to see the ongoing restoration and construction works here,” the traveler emphasized.
The traveler, recalling that this is his second visit to Azerbaijan, noted that he first visited Azerbaijan in 2017: “At that time, I was a professor in Moscow and came to Baku to speak at a conference. Even then, I was fascinated by Azerbaijan. Especially when comparing Azerbaijan to other post-Soviet countries, you can see a different atmosphere and a very Europeanized, modern country with an educated people. When I was in Baku in 2017, I saw again here the things that amazed me back then.”
Oliver Kompkens emphasized that the liberated city of Aghdam is being revived, with road and other infrastructure works underway: “I congratulate the Azerbaijani people and government for the fantastic work. After Aghdam city is fully restored, I will be eager to come here again in the coming years.”
