Azerbaijan's visitors from Nepal and Chad increased

154 233 tourists visited Azerbaijan in April, 2023, which is 83% more than the corresponding period of previous year, APA reports citing State Tourism Agency.

During the 4 months of current year, the number of people visited Azerbaijan was 523,305 which is 58 % more than the corresponding period of 2022 (330,479 people).

According to the number of arrivals last month, Russia (47,054), Türkiye (30,236), Iran (10,677), India (10,433) and Georgia (8,136) were in the top five.

The number of arrivals from Nepal has increased by 1,781% compared to the corresponding period of 2022. Thus, in the first 4 months of previous year, 43 people visited Azerbaijan from Nepal while in the corresponding period of this year, their number was 809. Also, arrivals from Chad increased by 800% , from Cuba and Mauritius by 700%, from Eritrea by 600 %, from Cambodia by 567 percent, from El Salvador by 500 %, and from Guatemala by 400 % .
