Expert: Progress and standardization of internet and information technologies have positive impact on the development of tourism

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva-APA-Economics. Progress and standardization of internet and information technologies are important for the development of tourism in Azerbaijan and other developed countries , Yorn Gishen , Director on Marketing and Tourism Strategy of THR-International Tourism Organization addressing the seminar ” Impact of Economic crisis on European tourism: Challenges and Response Measures” said that taking into positive experience of China , internet services of the countries and relations with new partners during crisis should be established .
To him, tourism companies should serve basing on special interests.
“Services divide into three parts. Services for international markets, opportunities of tourists, service proposals basing on interests and service for achieving experience by tourists,” he said.
He recommended working with new small companies.
“They offer interesting services and it is easy to work with them. Small companies manage to eliminate the crisis because of specialized services,” he said.
The expert recommended that local tourism companies can employ unemployed agents of foreign tourism companies and can conduct exchange of personnel.
“Canadian positive experience shows that establishment of B2B and B2C in internet on tourism, information and photos about trade and tourism in social networks are important and effective measures ,” he said.
