Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine Erdogan, Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay will also participate in the opening ceremony. World-famous singers and Hollywood stars, such as, Mariah Carey, Sharon Stone, Monica Bellucci, Richard Gere, Sial, Tom Jones have also been invited to the ceremony. Totally, 600 people have been invited to the opening ceremony.
The construction and interior decoration of the Mardan Palace hotel (180,000 sq m) cost $1.2-1.4 billion. The hotel resembles famous historical, architectural monument of Istanbul – Dolmabahce Palace. The pool of the hotel is 24,000 sq m and resembles Istanbul Strait. The luxurious hotel consists of 500 rooms and 20 villas. The prices will start from €400 up to €20,000. Antique chairs cost €80,000 each. $17 million have been spent on the knives and forks. There are 16 restaurants and 32 bars in the complex.
