Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA. “We have not faced with the global economic crisis impact on the tourism sector of Azerbaijan yet, but it is possible. We will analyze it after receiving six-month reports from the State Statistics Committee and State Border Serviceâ€, said Chief of Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Aydin Ismiyev, APA reports. He said the world had suffered from the economic crisis since the second half of 2008, but the number of tourists arrived in Azerbaijan was increased over the past 8-9 months. According to the statistics of the second half of last year, one million 898 thousand foreigners arrived in Azerbaijan and one million 408 thousand of them were tourists. Ismiyev noted that there was no need to alarm for the anti-crisis measures because they did not face with the crisis impact on the tourism sector yet.
