German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced on Monday that a new meeting on the conflict between Israel and Hamas between his country, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France will take place later in the day, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking to the media during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Hamburg, Scholz said that those countries remain "united" in supporting Israel and its stance that the ongoing clashes "must not be allowed to become a conflagration in the region."
Previously, US President Joe Biden said he is in regular contact with the leaders of countries around the world, including Europe, on the escalations in Israel.
