The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support they received.

They also extended their appreciation to the valiant Azerbaijani Army and to the heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the land, offering prayers for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the process.

Note that currently, over 50,000 people live in Karabakh and East Zangezur, including both former internally displaced persons who have been resettled and those working on ongoing projects in the region. These include employees of various state institutions and those working in newly reopened healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.

A resident of Khidirli village, Amil Gurbanov, expressed his feelings as follows: "We are returning to our homeland. Praise be to Allah. We thank our Commander-in-Chief. May Allah have mercy on our martyrs and grant good health to our veterans. Our devastated lands have been revived. From today onward, we will live in our own homeland. This is a beautiful feeling. I was 13 years old when we left. My children are very happy that we are returning to their father's homeland."
