On October 28, another migration convoy was dispatched from Masazir village in Absheron district to the newly liberated Agali village in Zangilan district, APA reports.
So far, 25 families comprising 127 individuals, temporarily settled in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district, will now begin to live in their native land. They are residents of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Agali villages, which were completely displaced by Armenians during the occupation period.
The residents of the Agali village express their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they receive. They also extend their gratitude to the heroic Azerbaijani Army, which liberated our lands, and to the valiant soldiers and officers. They remember our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives on this path, with great respect.
The allocation of houses to internally displaced persons is carried out through a transparent and fair process based on existing regulations. The allocation was conducted through a lottery system at the Repatriation Department of the State Committee on October 20.
The departure ceremony was attended by representatives of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, Zangilan District Executive Power and other officials.
With this, the number of families permanently settled in Agali village will reach 175 (871 individuals). The resettlement process will continue in the village.
