On March 5, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs Rovshan Rzayev met with a group of residents of the Karkijahan settlement of Khankendi city, the State Committee told APA.
According to the information, based on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the preparations were made in the Karkijahan settlement for the return of IDPs.
It was noted that this year first group of IDPs will be relocated to the Karkijahan settlement.
Meeting participant residents, saying that they are always surrounded by the attention and care of the state, expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for starting preparations for their return to their homeland and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, whose great support they always count on.
The residents stated that they all want to return to their homeland and live there permanently.
