Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has commented on the issue of importing oil products from Azerbaijan to Armenia, APA reports.

Speaking to the Armenian service of Radio Liberty, Papoyan said that everything will be known when the time comes.

The minister also addressed Georgia’s statement that it will not charge transit fees for the transportation of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia.

Papoyan said: “I confirm that the Georgian side informed me of this — the Georgian Minister of Economy personally conveyed it to me.”

He added that this step is a gesture by Georgia in the peace process: “For the first transit, the Georgian side will not request payment. After that, of course, there are transit fees that organizations are required to pay.”

Commenting on the possible delivery of the first batch of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia in the near future, Papoyan stated: “I cannot comment. In such processes, I prefer to speak when the results are achieved.”

Note that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, stated that the war with Armenia is over for Azerbaijan. He added that the issue of exporting oil and oil products was discussed during the visit of Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan to Gabala last week.
