Three men died of AIDS in Ganja this year, head epidemiologist of Ganja ALMAZ Tomiyeva told the APA Western bureau. She said that the number of the men infected with this disease increased by 30%. 35 men are officially registered as HIV-positive. Almaz Tomiyeva said this figure may increase.
“As the medical inspection of AIDS is voluntary, doctors can not take blood samples from the citizens,� she said.
The head epidemiologist also said that the men infected with HIV are at the age of 18-35. /APA/
