Executive Director of Junior Eurovision: I believe Azerbaijan will get its decent place in the contest”  - <span style="color: red;">INTERVIEW

The first participation is the factor that will increase interest in the country and interest of singers in the coming years. Executive Director of Junior Eurovision contest, event supervisor of Eurovision Song Contest Sietse Bakker said in his interview to APA. He said that for the first performance of Azerbaijan Omar and Suada is a successful choice: “They act professionally and comfortably on the scene. The song they sing and their ability to feel the song is great. I believe that Azerbaijan will get its decent place in the contest”.

S. Bakker noted that 12 countries take part in Junior Eurovision at present: “We try to increase interest in the contest in the coming years. It depends on the financial state of the countries. Every country must pay its fee and get ready. I wish the number to increase in the coming years”.

Though S. Bakker said negotiations are carried out with some countries to host Junior Eurovision next year, he did not mention the names of the countries: “The name of the country that will host the contest will be announced in the first month of 2013”

S.Bakker also said that he will leave his post.
