“The number of foreign students in Azerbaijan is approaching 11,000," Ulkar Sattarova, Chair of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, told journalists, APA reports.
“Foreign students come to Azerbaijan based on their own interests and desires. At the same time, there are certain grants established by our country. The most prominent example of these is the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant. Since September 15, foreign students from various countries have arrived in Azerbaijan. They have gained the right to study at our leading universities at the expense of the Azerbaijani government.”
She also noted that as part of the “Eurasian Universities Summit,” many university partnerships will be formalized: “Currently, we have relations with foreign universities, but we want to expand these connections further.”
