Armenian Church poses great threat to all neighboring regional countries - Chairman of CMO

It is a fact that Armenian religious circles have settled in the historical Azerbaijani land of Uchmuedzin (Üçmüədzin)—referred to by them as Etchmiadzin—where our compatriots rest, and have been engaged in establishing religious representation in territories that do not belong to them, said the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh at the meeting of Council of Elders of the CMO, APA reports.

The CMO chairman noted that in Karabakh, they established the Artsakh Diocese, and in Russia, they established the Novo-Nakhchivan Diocese under the name of Nakhchivan: “The only goal of the religious center of the Armenians, who portray themselves as a distinct community—the first Christians in the world—based on fake assumptions about the history of Christianity, has been to support the delusional idea of a ‘Great Armenia.’ We are faced with a mentality that spreads appeals full of lies, slander, and smears to the world, is far from the postulates of peace, brotherhood, and peaceful neighborhood of the Christian religion, constantly promotes discord and hostility, and calls for revanchism and confrontation for the sake of its sick imaginations in Uchmuedzin and Cilicia, through religious centers that falsely claim ownership of the cultural and spiritual heritage of other peoples. States and circles that are interested in believing Armenian lies support and assist them in this. Yes, this is the reality—world Armenians, relying on the Armenian national church, continue to deceive the international community with their historical and political hypocrisy. Their goal is that, if the Armenian state collapses due to political incompetence, the Armenian national church will continue to act as a mobilizing center, create a Gregorian religious state in the style of the Vatican, and lead it themselves. Thus, the Armenian church aims to continue its presence on our historical lands by one way or another. This poses a great threat to all the neighboring countries of Armenia in the region.”
