Construction of houses in the landslide zone in Baku’s Bayil settlement is prohibited, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov said on Wednesday, APA reports.
He recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers passed a decision on landslide zones three years ago.
“In general, the Ministries of Ecology and Natural Resources and Emergency Situations defined landslide zones in Absheron and Azerbaijan’s other regions. These zones were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. It is strictly forbidden to conduct construction work in these zones,” the deputy PM added.
