A group of residents in Georgia’s predominantly Azerbaijani-populated district of Marneuli has protested against the decision of the district executive head to remove all the roadside kiosks in the district center, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.
The district officials said that the decision stems from the fact that these objects spoil the picture of the city.
The residents are worried that the removal of kiosks would put them in a difficult financial situation.
District executive head Temur Abazov is currently meeting with the protesters.
