The second day of the tournament in Zagreb, Croatia, chess players played 9 more rounds.

Azerbaijani chess player Shahriyar Mammadyarov scored 6 points today. He met the 13th world champion Harry Kasparov in the 15th round. Shahriyar defeated his opponent as he had done the day before.

Mammadyarov, who scored a total of 19 points, finished the tournament in 6th place. The winner of the competition was Maxim Vashie Lagrave. He is ahead of everyone with 23 points.
