III CIS Games conclude, Azerbaijan ranks second

The III CIS Games hosted by Azerbaijan have concluded, Apasport.az reports.

On the last day of the competition, Azerbaijani athletes won a total of 6 medals in the artistic gymnastics events held in Sheki.

With this, Azerbaijan finished the Games with 184 medals. Of these medals, 33 were gold, 56 silver, and 95 bronze. With this result, our team ranked second overall. The tournament winner was Russia.

Thus, Azerbaijani athletes achieved best-ever result at the 3rd CIS Games held since 2021. This result marks a significant milestone for Azerbaijani athletes in the history of the CIS Games, which have been held since 2021. Azerbaijan secured 60 medals (16 gold, 16 silver, 28 bronze) at the inaugural Games and 62 medals (10 gold, 17 silver, 35 bronze) at the second edition.
