Central Asia and Azerbaijan constitute a single geopolitical and economic region with great potential and even greater opportunities for future development, President Ilham Aliyev said in a joint press statement with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, APA's special correspondent reports.
“As Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, following Azerbaijan’s accession to the format of cooperation with the Central Asian countries – and, incidentally, his special role in this matter – the geography of cooperation has expanded. Today, Central Asia and Azerbaijan constitute a single geopolitical and economic region with great potential and even greater opportunities for development in the future. The overall positive development dynamics of this vast and already fairly integrated region depend to a large extent on our close interaction – that of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan,” the head of state said.
