The state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan was widely covered in the country's leading media resources.

APA reports that the Uzbek press presented the visit as a historic event in terms of a new stage in relations between the two countries and further strengthening of strategic partnership.

The Uzbek state news agency UZA highlighted the results of the talks between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing the signing of the Treaty on "Eternal Friendship" between the two countries.

"This historical document enriches the centuries-old friendly and fraternal relations of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan with new content and creates a solid legal basis for the further development of interstate cooperation," UZA wrote.

The Nuz.uz portal called the visit a "historic summit." The publication wrote that during the meetings, in addition to political dialogue, issues of economic cooperation, investments, transport and the implementation of new joint projects were discussed.

“The leaders of the two countries have reaffirmed the strategic nature of the relations and have identified new directions for mutual cooperation,” Nuz.uz noted.

Gazeta.uz extensively covered the visit of the Azerbaijani President and the meetings held, presenting the signing of the “Eternal Friendship” agreement between the two countries as one of the main events. The publication also drew attention to Ilham Aliyev’s acquaintance with the “New Tashkent” project and plans to create an Azerbaijani park there.

Daryo.uz, on the other hand, published the Azerbaijani President’s acquaintance with the “New Tashkent” project as a separate news item. The publication noted that the presidents were acquainted with the city’s master plan and the ongoing construction work.

Qalampir.uz drew attention to the political importance of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations. The publication highlighted the fact that Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev characterized Azerbaijan as a “reliable ally” and an important partner.

Zamin.uz, on the other hand, highlighted the economic results of the visit, drawing attention to the goal of bringing trade turnover between the two countries to $1 billion and new investment projects. The publication presented this as a strengthening of the "eternal friendship" relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan through practical cooperation.

The Platina.uz website wrote that Ilham Aliyev played a great role in raising Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations to the level of alliance.

In addition, publications such as Kun.uz, Yuz.uz, Vaqt.uz, Zamon.uz and Darakchi.uz also widely covered the ceremonial welcome of President Ilham Aliyev, the III session of the Supreme Interstate Council, mutual state awards, new joint projects and the plan to create the "Azerbaijan" park.

"The implementation of new joint projects between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has begun. These initiatives will serve to enrich cooperation with practical results," Kun.uz emphasized.

Thus, in the materials of the Uzbek media, three main directions of the visit - a new stage of political relations, the goal of $1 billion in economic cooperation, and the expansion of humanitarian and cultural ties - received special attention.
