Only 5 percent of the respondents support the idea, 7 percent are not against it, and another 9 percent are unsure. The remaining 80 percent prefer to remain in capital Moscow.
Also, only 13 percent of Russians want their children to live in Moscow, and 12 percent prefer that their children moving abroad.
Note that, the idea of moving the capital is the most popular among Moscow and St. Petersburg residents, the electorate of the Communist Party and non-parliamentary parties Earlier, Russian politicians have repeatedly spoken of the need to transfer the capital of Russia to Siberia. They think it would stimulate economic development in the region.
