The delegation led by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), continues to hold a series of meetings in the field of demining in the United States of America, APA reports citing ANAMA.
As a part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held meetings with Marshall Heritage Institute (MLI), the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) America, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the Department of Defense, the World Bank, the US State Department, and the House of Representatives, as well as several leading congressmen.
During the meeting with the officials of the Marshall Heritage Institute, discussions were held on the continuation of the long-term successful cooperation between the two institutions in donating mine detection dogs. During the meeting, the sides agreed on sending an additional number of specially trained mine detection dogs by MLI to support the humanitarian demining operations conducted in Azerbaijan.
