Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Mr. Vugar Suleymanov has received the President and CEO of the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) of the US Mr. Perry Baltimore, MLI Vice President of Operations Eliz Baker, and executive director of the Chamber of Commerce Natig Bakhishov, the Agency told APA.
During the meeting, conducted works between ANAMA and MLI regarding the mine detection dogs so far have been discussed. The Chairman of the board of ANAMA has talked about the history of the mutual cooperation relations with MLI. From 2005 till now, 50 mine and explosive detection dogs have been presented to the mine-clearing program of Azerbaijan by the Marshall Legacy Institute. The dogs are involved in the clearance operations in the liberated territories from the occupation through appropriate training and accreditation
