“We once again emphasize our strong support for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia," Türkiye’s Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler said in the statement on the results of the meeting of the defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia in Batumi, Georgia, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.
He noted that there is a strong trilateral cooperation format between these three states:
“As you know, due to its history and strategic location, the Caucasus holds great significance in terms of regional and international security. The trilateral cooperation between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, in addition to serving the common interests and expectations of our countries, but also makes a significant contribution to the peace and stability of the Caucasus.
For this reason, with the trilateral memorandum we signed, we reaffirmed our will to further develop this exemplary, close, and strong cooperation. I believe that this synergy between us will create opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations in the future. Today, together with my esteemed colleagues, we once again confirmed our determination to maximize cooperation in all areas between our countries, which have historical and deep-rooted ties. During the meeting, we once again emphasized our strong support for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia.”
