"I would like to especially note that more than AZN 50 million are provided in the budget for the local expenses of the Garabagh Economic Region - Khankandi, Aghdara, Khojaly, Khojavand and the districts and cities liberated from occupation as a whole," said Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov during the discussion of budget envelope for 2024 at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
Prime Minister noted that next year, as every year, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, strengthening the defense potential of Azerbaijan and the material and technical base of the Azerbaijani Army, supplying it with modern military equipment and ammunition, and improving the social, household and service conditions of the servicemen will be of the main cost directions: "17.5% of the 2024 state budget expenditures or more than AZN 6.4 billion are planned for defense and national security expenses. This is AZN 366 million or 6% more than in 2023."
