"Proceedings on the claims raised by Azerbaijan regarding the demand for compensation from Armenia regarding our citizens lost in the First Garabagh War are also carried out in the international legal framework," Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan said, APA reports.
"Here, both domestically and internationally, we are more interested in the fate of missing persons than compensation. Measures are being taken in this regard together with the Azerbaijan's State Security Service and the Azerbaijan's State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons. From time to time, the remains of those missing persons are located, handed over to their relatives and buried according to customs. Unfortunately, the Armenian side does not provide information about those mass graves. Therefore, this process is carried out with difficulty. A lot of progress has been made in this area."
