SBS detains drug trafficker on the border with Iran, 9 kg of drugs were seized

The State Border Service (SBS) continues border protection and operational-search operations to ensure reliable protection of the state border and combating drug trafficking, APA reports citing SBS.

On February 2, at about 01:50 am, the suspicious behavior of an unknown person in the service area of the border post near Bilasuvar region attracted the attention of the border guard.

The suspect took a parcel from the area and tried to flee the scene, but was detained while trying to escape from the area. 8 kilograms 800 grams (7,900 grams of "marijuana", 900 grams of "coconut") were found and seized from Baku resident Asgarov Umid Nadir oglu, born in 1988.
