The remains of more than 450 human corpses, believed to belong to the missing persons during the First Karabakh War, were exhumed from the cemeteries in the criminal case investigated under Articles 115.4, 120.2.7, 120.2.12 and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor's Office, said Military Prosecutor's Office, APA reports.
According to the information, about 300 forensic-medical and more than 280 molecular-genetic expertise were appointed and directed for implementation. As well as witnesses were questioned and other necessary investigative-operational measures were carried out.
Deputy Prosecutor General - Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, Justice Lieutenant General Khanlar Valiyev visited the mentioned areas on October 26, and interested in the progress of criminal investigation, gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
Investigative and operational measures are currently continued in the criminal case.
Note that in the liberated territories as well as Dashalti village of Shusha district, Edilli village of Khojavend district, Sirkhavend village of Aghdam district, Farrukh village of Khojaly district, and other areas mass graves have been found as a result of the relevant search measures carried out by the employees of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the representatives of the State Security Service, Information of the State Commission on prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other relevant institutions.
