“Construction work at the Ukrainian subsidiary Baykar is going according to plan. The opening of production is scheduled for 2025,” he said.
Earlier, the entrepreneur specified that Baykar would start producing the necessary software in Ukraine, as well as electronic components and the body of drones.
Senator Sergei Tsekov said that Russia would not allow Ukraine to complete the construction of a plant for the manufacture of Turkish drones. He stressed that strike UAVs would be sent against Russian military personnel, so it is impossible to allow the opening of production.
Bayraktar specified that the updated drones will be equipped with air-to-ground missiles, which will make them effective in the fight not only against ground targets and drones, but also large aircraft.
