On April 18, the 14th meeting of the National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development of Republic of Azerbaijan was held under the leadership of Ali Ahmadov, head of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development, APA reports.
During the meeting the head of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development Ali Ahmadov pointed out that Azerbaijan is one of the countries most polluted by mines and other explosive munitions, and according to the preliminary studies, more than 8,235 square kilometers of Azerbaijan's territory contaminated mines and other explosive munitions.
Also, taking into account that more than 60 countries of the world suffer from this problem faced by our country, the importance of compaigining in this direction at the local level and at the global level was emphasized.
