Pursuant to the current year's plan, marches accompanied by military orchestras were organized on the central streets, avenues and squares of the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Nakhchivan, Khankendi, Shusha and Lachin to mark the 5th anniversary of Victory Day, APA reports.
Prior to the marches, the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Patriotic songs performed by military orchestras and the marches accompanied by military songs led to great interest and applause by onlookers.

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Victory Day, marches accompanied by military orchestras are being held in Baku, APA reports.
Servicemen will march along the following routes until 12:00:
Alley of Martyrs – “Flame Towers” Complex – “Icherisheher” metro station – Gala Gate – Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre – Azneft Square – Bahram Gur monument;
Q. Musabayov Park – Abdurrahim Bey Hagverdiyev Street – Huseyn Javid Avenue – Huseyn Javid Park – Parliament Avenue – Martyrs’ Alley;
“Olympic Star” Sports and Entertainment Center – Samed Vurghun Street – Officers’ Park – Baku State Circus – Heydar Aliyev Palace – I. Nasimi monument – Neftchilar Avenue.
