Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev held a scientific-practical conference

The 2nd republican scientific-practical conference on the topic “Military and political lessons of the Second Karabakh War: achievements and tasks ahead” dedicated to the third anniversary of Victory Day was held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said, APA reports.
In attendance at the conference were officers and professor-teaching staff of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, heads and delegations of 14 organizations of the republic.
First, the conference participants laid wreaths at the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the memorial complex erected in honor of Azerbaijani servicemen, who became Shehids in the Patriotic War.
The conference started with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Delivering an introductory speech at the conference, the rector of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, Major General Fizuli Salahov, spoke about the 44-day Patriotic War that began on September 27, 2020 and ended with the victory of the Azerbaijan Army. It was emphasized that the victory achieved due to the determination of Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the unity of the Azerbaijani people, the strength of the glorious Azerbaijan Army, and at the cost of the blood and lives of Shehids, put an end to the long-term longing of world's Azerbaijanis.
Then a video dedicated to the Second Karabakh War was shown.
The speakers at the conference mentioned that the Azerbaijan Army wrote a new page in world military history, as well as spoke about the courage and heroism, shown by Azerbaijani soldiers and officers in successful counter-offensive operations, and the military operations that Azerbaijan conducted in those days not only on the battlefield but also in the information space. It was stressed that the interviews of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev with reputable foreign media allowed to convey the truth about the events and expose the Armenian lies.
In the end, the importance of the conference was commended and a photo was taken.
