Ambassador: “Our troops to represent restored territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in Red Square for first time”
Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, Rahman Mustafayev, met with Azerbaijani Armed Forces personnel who arrived in Moscow to participate in the May 9 Victory Parade, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mustafayev highlighted the symbolic significance of the servicemen’s participation in the parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II, calling it a tribute to the memory of Azerbaijani soldiers who perished in the war. He expressed confidence that the troops would represent Azerbaijan with honor at this important international event.
He noted that the victories in both World War II and the Patriotic War remain a source of national pride and a cornerstone of the country’s collective memory.
The meeting was held in a warm, patriotic atmosphere, with participants expressing a deep sense of responsibility and pride for representing their country at the international event.
