The trial on criminal case of Armenian militants Mkrtichyan Ludvik Mkrtichovich and Khosrovyan Alyosha Aramaisovich, who tortured Azerbaijani captives and committed other crimes in the First Karabakh War, has started, APA reports.
The profiles of the accused and victims have been clarified in the process that is held in the administrative building of the Yasamal District Court, chaired by Baku Military Court Judge Elbay Allahverdiyev.
Khosrovyan Alyosha delivering a short speech noted that he was in Karabakh in 1994 and in 2000.
Court went to a meeting for adoption of decision of the preliminary hearing.
When the court went to a meeting, Azerbaijani Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva met with accused persons, interested in their detention and health conditions.
Judges returned from meeting and judicial review has been scheduled for June 9.
