“From the first day of the ceasefire declared, the employees of Turkish Armed Forces began demining operations. As mines are cleared, the liberated areas become safer and more suitable for agriculture and habitation,” said Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar while responding to the question of the journalists regarding demining activities conducted in liberated Azerbaijani territories, APA reports.
Defence Minister recalled that the same activities are being conducted in Libya.
Turkish minister noted that contacts are underway for Armenia’s providing landmine maps immediately.
