“We have discussed regional security issues with Zakir Hasanov and Hulusi Akar”, said Minister of Defence of Georgia Levan Isoria at the briefing of the trilateral meeting with Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov and Minister of National Defence of Turkey Hulusi Akar.
The Georgian minister once again confirmed that they recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our countries within the framework of international law: "I once again reaffirm Georgia's position that my country recognizes and supports Azerbaijan's territorial integrity adopted by international law. One of the main factors in our strategic partnership is that we conduct joint trainings. This contributes to the development of our cooperation. Today, we have decided that the Georgian side will join the joint exercises of Azerbaijan and Turkey in the future. I am grateful to the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey for their support, joining NATO's multinational international trainings in Georgia. Today's meeting is crucial not only to confirm our strategic partnership but also to ensure the security of our peoples. Thanks again to the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey for their productive cooperation at this level."
