Fines to double for violation of law on military transport obligation

Fines for violations of military transport obligation will be doubled, this has been reflected in the amendment to the Administrative Offenses Code, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.

According to the draft, officials will be fined between AZN 300 and 550, and legal entities between AZN 900 and 1,150 for failure to provide information on the existence and technical condition of vehicles the government and local self-government bodies or organizations that own transport vehicles in accordance with the inquiry of the executive authority.

Currently, for this violation, officials are fined between AZN 150 and 250, and legal entities between AZN 350 and 550.

Additionally, according to the draft, officials will be fined between AZN 400 and 600, and legal entities between AZN 4,000 and 1,200 for failing to provide military transport vehicles in accordance with the mobilization orders, to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and other armed units and special formations established in accordance with the legislation.

Currently, for this violation, officials are fined between 200 and 300 manat, and legal entities between 400 and 600 manat.
