The Belarus-made Rodnik-3D radar has been showcased as part of the ADEX defense exhibition, APA reports.
The radar, designed to detect and track low-flying aerial targets, was presented at the Belarusian pavilion during the ADEX exhibition held in Baku.
According to a Belarusian representative, the Rodnik-3D was developed to detect and track various types of low-flying aerial targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, multirotor and fixed-wing aircraft, as well as cruise missiles.
During the presentation, it was stated that the Rodnik-3D can detect small drones at a range of up to 7 kilometers, larger UAVs, including Bayraktar-type drones, at up to 20 kilometers, and larger aerial targets such as cruise missiles, helicopters, and other objects at distances of up to 60 kilometers.
It was noted that the radar’s main function is the detection and tracking of aerial targets. The Rodnik-3D is not designed to destroy or intercept targets, but solely to detect and track them.
