On the anniversary of the beginning of the 44-day Patriotic War, the Chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Major General Mursal Ibrahimov, and the personnel of the service visited the memorial monument dedicated to November 8 – Victory Day, in the Victory Park constructed in Baku, APA reports.
The cherished memory of the sons of the Motherland who were martyred for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored, and flower bouquets were laid in front of the monument at the entrance to the memorial complex.
The memory of the martyrs was also honored with a one-minute silence at the Service’s headquarters.
Note that according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated December 2, 2020, September 27 is commemorated annually as Remembrance Day across the country.
