A unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) observed at the state border has been neutralized, said the Press Center of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to the information, the State Border Service continues its successful measures to ensure the reliable protection of the state border and tackle smuggling and the illegal circulation of narcotic substances.
On March 4, the State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops prevented the smuggling of 515 grams of heroin, a narcotic substance into the country through a small-sized UAV in the service area of the “Göytəpə” border detachment.
Operational-investigative measures are underway regarding the incident.
