"President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has included the further improvement of the defense capability of our country among the main priorities," said Finance Minister Samir Sharifov during the discussion of the draft law "On the 2023 State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan" at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industries, and Enterprising, APA reports.
The minister said that the attempts to rearm Armenia with the support of its patrons and the unceasing provocations against our country make it necessary for further strengthening of our Victorious Army. "Therefore, the funds allocated to defense expenses from the 2023 budget have been further increased compared to the current year," the minister stated.
