A farewell ceremony is being held in Siyazan with serviceman Asif Aliyev, who was killed as a result of another provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the Kalbajar region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on December 8, APA's northern bureau reports.
The body of martyred soldier Aliyev Asif Adil oglu was brought to Zarat village of Siyazan region.
Relatives of the martyr, servicemen, representatives of the district executive power and the public are taking part in the farewell ceremony.
Aliyev, the only son of the family, had 20 days to complete his military service.
Asif Aliyev was a participant in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Medal for the Liberation of Kalbajar.
The father of the martyr, Adil Aliyev, was a participant in the First Karabakh War.
